Yes, I did see that the things outside of the town were far more powerful than I expected. Not quite on the level of power they could be, but surprisingly more dangerous than I thought.

I wonder where they get these useful talents from?

It seems as though wild Pokemon get stronger and more useful the further you are from New Bark Town. There's probably some reason for it, but I haven't been able to come up with a justification for it yet. At the very least, their abilities appear to be innate qualities. If I had to speculate, I'd say they were magical on some level.

I've been doing that since I arrived. Not only will discovering all the secrets these creatures hold be an impressive accomplishment, it will doubtless make our stay here more pleasant.
